How To Solve The Loose Nuts When Using?
In mechanical design, a problem that is often encountered: how to tighten a small nut? Here listed a brief analysis of the most basic method of fixing nuts in work.
1. Flat Washer
Washer refers to the part that is padded between the connecting piece and the nut. Generally, it is a flat metal ring, which is used to protect the surface of the connected member from scratches by the nut and disperse the pressure of the nut on the connected member.
2. Flat Washer And Spring Washer
Spring washers are widely used in the bearing and non-bearing structures of general mechanical products. They are characterized by low cost and easy installation. They are suitable for parts with frequent assembly and disassembly, but the anti-loosening ability of spring washers is very low.
3. Self-Locking Nut
General nuts will loose on their own due to vibration and other reasons during use, such as vibration. In order to prevent this phenomenon, self-locking nuts were invented. The function of the self-locking nut is mainly anti-loosening and anti-vibration, and it is used for special occasions. Its working principle is generally self-locking by friction. According to the function, self-locking nuts are divided into those with nylon rings, those with necks closed, and those with metal anti-loosening devices, which are all effective torque-type anti-loosening nuts.
Due to its nature, the self-locking nut is more difficult to screw.
4. Nut Anti-Loosening Fluid
Apply the nut anti-loosening liquid to the tightening place of the bolt, and then tighten the nut to achieve the anti-loosening effect.
5. Double Nuts (Rotate Left and Right) Anti-Loosening
Through the combination of a left-handed nut and a right-handed nut, it is also a good way to tighten and prevent loosening.
6. Screw Nut Drilling And Pin Fixing
In machinery, pins are mainly used for assembly positioning, and can also be used to connect and relax overload shear connections in safety devices. The types of pins include cylindrical pins, conical pins, perforated pins, open pins and safety pins.
