From January to May, the Output of Ten Non-Ferrous Metals Was 27.248 Million Tons, Up 0.90% Yearly
On June 30, the website of the National Development and Reform Commission released the operation of the non—ferrous industry from January to May.
First, the output of smelting products has increased slightly. According to data from the National Bureau of Statistics, the output of ten non—ferrous metals in China from January to May was 27.248 million tons, an increase of 0.9% year-on-year. Among them, the output of refined copper, lead and primary aluminum was 4.4 million tons, 2.999 million tons, and 16.39 million tons respectively 10,000 tons, an increase of 3 year-on-year 2%、3.6%、0.3%; Zinc production was 2.721 million tons, down 0.9% year-on-year.
Second is that the output of processed materials has fluctuated. According to data from the National Bureau of Statistics, the output of copper processed materials from January to May was 8.26 million tons, an increase of 0.1% year—on-year; the output of aluminum materials was 24.519 million tons, a decrease of 1.7% year-on-year.
Third, the high price fluctuations of the main varieties. According to data from the China Association of Non-Ferrous Metals Industry, in May, the average domestic spot price of copper was RMB¥71,939/ton, down 2.6% year-on-year; the average spot price of aluminum was RMB¥20,450/ton, up 6.4% year-on-year.
Fourth, the import volume of copper and aluminum ore sands has grown rapidly. According to data from the General Administration of Customs, from January to May, the country imported 10.42 million tons of copper ore and its concentrates, an increase of 6.1% year—on-year. From January to May, the country's imports of aluminum ore sands and their concentrates were 55.75 million tons, an increase of 23.7% year-on-year.
